Sue Jaeger was part of a group of nine Windom Park residents who decided in 1995 that they would like to start a food co-op in Northeast Minneapolis. Sue went on to serve as the first board president back in 1996 when it was still called Northeast Coop and they were just starting to organize and acquire memberships. She spent lots of time door knocking and distributing flyers to educate people about the future co-op and helped bring in the original 135 members before turning it over to the next generation of leadership. Now that we have accomplished the original goal to open a great co-op, we are planning for the next chapter. To that end, Sue is the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and also serves as the Vice President of the board for the next year. She loves being outdoors, biking, walking, cross country skiing, gardening, and cooking great food with ingredients grown in her garden and from the co-op.
