Here For Good
Community is at the heart of what we do here at Eastside. In addition to our Seedlings program and smaller donations throughout the year, Eastside proudly supports the following community organizations that are making positive change in and around Northeast Minneapolis.
Eastside proudly supports:
Northeast Farmers Market
At Northeast Farmers Market, our mission is to create an enjoyable shopping experience that customers of all ages can enjoy. Since 2000, we’ve provided the Minneapolis community with quality products at very attractive prices. We have something to suit everyone’s taste! Our Farmers' Market is home to a number of local professionals who go above and beyond to give back to the community through the products they offer.
SACA Food Shelf & Thrift Store
SACA’s mission is to provide food and resources to those in need while empowering dignity and independence to those we serve through our client-choice food shelf, grocery delivery service, and thrift store. SACA has served our communities for almost 50 years and distributes over 950,000 pounds of food yearly.
Midwest Food Connection
At Midwest Food Connection, we believe everyone should have the ability and opportunity to grow and consume healthful, affordable, and culturally relevant foods. Unfortunately, marginalized communities often find that they have limited access to healthful foods and are frequently the target of exploitive food marketing.
Bethune Elementary
Bethune Elementary is a Full-Service School located in North Minneapolis. The overall vision of Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) is a partnership between the school (Bethune) and local community resources. FSCS focuses on eliminating barriers for students/families by providing support and assistance in areas like employment, housing, food insecurity, clothing, health, social services, and youth development.
Northeast Arts Association
Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) strengthens and supports our local artist community with resources, promotion, and fellowship.
Seedlings
Eastside Food Co-op’s Seedlings program makes it simple for shoppers to support organizations making a positive impact in our community! Shoppers make small donations at the register which add up to meaningful contributions to nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with our store’s mission.
Solar Project
After extensive research, in April 2022, the Eastside board voted to move forward with planning a solar project! Stay tuned here for important notices, updates, questions, and requests.
