Tree Trust

Tree Trust plays a vital role in the Twin Cities community by enriching lives and landscapes through environmental education, tree planting, and workforce training for young people. Our mission is to empower individuals while enhancing our environment and making our community greener and healthier.

Tree Trust fulfills its mission through three key departments. Career Pathways offers workforce training in the green industry and skilled trades, providing young people with valuable job skills and employment opportunities. Community Forestry focuses on planting trees in urban areas and educating residents and elementary students about environmental stewardship. Our Landscape Services social enterprise supports these efforts through professional tree care and landscape contracting.

Environmental stewardship is at the core of our work. We address challenges like the emerald ash borer that threatens Minnesota’s ash trees. We combat this by planting thousands of diverse, healthy trees annually, ensuring the survival of our urban canopy and bolstering community resilience against pests and diseases.

A Seedlings donation will support our Learning with Trees™ (LWT) Community Forestry initiative, which brings hands-on environmental education to elementary schools. This program includes tree-planting events that engage students, teachers, and volunteers in transforming school grounds into vibrant green spaces. LWT enhances outdoor learning environments and instills a sense of environmental stewardship in students.
