Join us in Eastside Co-op’s Community Room on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:30am to learn how to care for yourself during the cooler months of fall according to Chinese medical principles. This class is taught by Tatum Fjerstad, a licensed acupuncturist with Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts, located not to far from the co-op .
The upcoming workshop will focus on the Metal Element – the element associated with autumn. In the Chinese medicine Five Element system, each element corresponds with a different season, taste, emotion, energy meridian and more. This first session will be nestled in the midst of its associated season, when the air gets crisp and Metal takes center stage. Metal represents a sword that cuts away that which is no longer necessary, leaving a refined essence in its place. Metal also corresponds to the Lung and Large Intestine energy meridians, which, when working properly, help you set energetic boundaries and let go of what is no longer serving you.
